Chiara Bellini, a 100 % Made in Italy Brand

Bellinis were already the owners of Maresca brand and their ingeniousness and inspiration have now resulted in Chiara Bellini brand.

The Maresca brand was created during the post-war period and recently specialized in the production of Pvc footwear being distributed in both the domestic and the international market.

The experience gained in the luxury market during almost ten years nowadays allows Maresca to launch a new ambitious project: the creation of Chiara Bellini luxury footwear brand.

The brand name is a tribute to Chiara Bellini, Technical Designer of the company and Giovanni Bellini's daughter - Mr Giovanni Bellini is the Chief Executive of Maresca, he manages the company together with his brother (and partner) Armando and his three children: Lorenzo, Michele and the aforementioned daughter Chiara, who in 2013, during the creation phase of this new brand, gave birth to her second child, Margherita. Additionally, the choice of brand name Chiara Bellini brings to mind the Italian character of a 100% Made in Italy product.

The Chiara Bellini Brand is destined to the medium to high-end and luxury markets, and makes his debut with a bona fide collection for the Spring Summer 2015 collection, after a first trial run in the Russian market in 2013.

“The Chiara Bellini product”, - Chiara tells us, “- is a very meticulous product from a stylistic point of view and in its details, characterized by a combination of PVC with other materials, like leather and metallic accessories. The footwear line is completed by original ‘ball-shaped’ and ‘city’ bags, which are once again made of colored PVC. Young women and men, who love to play and be daring with fashion, are the main targets of this line, but in the collection there are also products aimed at a certain ‘continuity’. These products are meant to be worn every day, either at the seaside or in the city, and are fashion products that are very far from the classic rain boot or beach sandal proposal”.
Chiara, Lorenzo and Michele Bellini describe the company which manufactures Chiara Bellini fashion footwear and accessories in PVC and the production process which is used.
I am Chiara Bellini, a creative stylist and footwear designer. I have been working for 10 years in our historic family business with my brothers Lorenzo and Michele, my father and my uncle who are running the business and I naturally look after the creative side.
The Chiara Bellini brand was born in the spring of 2013 when we realized that the market was looking for a product like ours; footwear in PVC made with attention to every detail and with accessories in various types of materials.
Chiara Bellini brand products cater to the niche market of luxury footwear. The line of PVC footwear includes a wide variety of products ranging from the boots in the winter collection, to the ballet flats, sandals and thong sandals. Each product is particular, with care behind the choice of accessories and the various types of materials used, such as cork, leather or metal as regards the accessories.
For the short laced up boot with red polka dots you start for example from a sketch after which the various accessories are selected, then the inner sock, in the case where the boot is moulded with transparent PVC like the short laced up boot with red polka dots, the laces to match and the plate bearing the logo.
The development of a prototype of footwear always starts from a basic plastic shape which is scanned using CAD technology, before you can make the aluminium mould.
The Chiara Bellini brand is close to environmental policy, in fact all scrap coming from the production of footwear and accessories in PVC does not cause pollution but is 100% recycled.
Processing the Chiara Bellini polka dot laced up boot starts with placing the polka dot sock over an aluminium mould. Then the mould is closed and placed under the PVC injection press.
The PVC comes from a raw material in granular form, introduced inside these extruders which heat the material and reduce it to the liquid state so that it can be injected inside the mould.
The timing of the machine allows the material inside the mould to cool.

The last phase is extraction. After the injection process we pass to the finishing phase where the article is taken, trimmed and prepared for the accessories to be applied.
This article is fitted with laces, customized and insoles are inserted.

The next step is packaging and quality control. The short laced up boot with polka dots comes with packaging specially customized for Chiara Bellini.
PVC articles by Chiara Bellini are entirely produced in Italy with meticulous attention to detail and accessories.
When the Chiara Bellini footwear brand was launched we also decided to add a line of PVC bags, an accessory that, based on the type of processing and applications, can be combined with a style which is more refined and classic, but even a casual and aggressive look, for example the Rock'n'Ball which is such a particular model that we decided to patent it.
An example of a successful article in the Rock'n'Ball line is the model featuring the presence of numerous studs. Here is the philosophy of the Chiara Bellini brand: mixing the raw materials, putting PVC, which is the main element, together with many more accessories made of various materials.
